Parish

Office

The parish office handles and issues all documents needed for the sacraments.
Office hours: usually after the evening Mass (18:00). In urgent cases – anytime.

Below you’ll find what documents are needed and what conditions must be met for each sacrament.

Baptism

To baptize a child you’ll need:

  1. Birth certificate of the child
  2. Document with full data of the parents (names, mother’s maiden name, date and place of birth, date and place of the church wedding)
  3. Data of godparents: name, surname, address (if they live outside our parish, they need a letter from their parish confirming they are practicing Catholics and can be godparents)

First Communion

For a child to receive First Holy Communion:

  1. Baptism certificate (if baptized outside our parish)
  2. Positive completion of catechesis (religious preparation for First Communion)

Confirmation

To receive Confirmation:

  1. Complete preparation classes with positive result
  2. Take part regularly in Sunday Mass
  3. Attend parish formation meetings
  4. Present baptism certificate (if baptized elsewhere)

Marriage

Couples should contact the parish at least 3 months before the wedding to fill in the marriage protocol.

Required documents:

  1. Baptism certificate (if baptized elsewhere)
  2. Certificate of pre-marriage course
  3. Family counseling certificate
  4. ID cards
  5. Civil Registry certificate for a concordat marriage (valid for 6 months)
  6. If not parish members – written permission from their parish priest
  7. If underage – written parental consent
  8. If widowed – death certificate of the previous spouse

Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament can be received anytime in case of illness, poor health, or danger to life. The priest can also bring Confession and Holy Communion during a home visit. Prepare:

  1. A small table with a white cloth or a respectful place for the Blessed Sacrament
  2. A cross and two candles (lit when the priest arrives)
  3. Family joins in the prayer with the sick (except during confession)

Catholic Funeral

For a funeral you’ll need:

  1. Death certificate
  2. Document with full data of the decease
  3. If the deceased lived in another parish – written permission from their parish pries
