The Moving

Nativity Scene

The nativity scene, dating from the second half of the 19th century, is located in a building at the foot of the Calvary. Its construction was initiated by Longin Wittig. This exceptionally talented man was born in the village of Góra Św. Anny, near Nowa Ruda, in 1824.

Wambierzyce

Calvary

The special atmosphere and uniqueness of Wambierzyce as a center of religious worship is enhanced by the extensive Calvary. The first chapels, built on the initiative of Osterberg in 1683, have not survived to this day due to their provisional form and the use of wood as building material.
